Look who's coming for dinner

I was searching through some pictures... and came across a photo shoot we did a while back. It reminded me that you can have some fun with transfers you create. The idea came from a Martha Stewart segment or a show like that, where she would put a picture under a glass as a marker for the dinning guest setting.

Of course the marble coasters work well as custom coasters, but the glass tiles have something a little more special when it comes to looking a contemporary. I always find people tend to gravitate to them and pick them, they are distinctly different.

Since I am reminding myself... I thought I should remind you that Valentines is coming up! Perhaps this is a good hint if you are going to make something for 'that someone special' - get started.

7 million dollar view

A  s l o w  boat to work

For the past week I have had a crew working down on a 7 million dollar penthouse, touching up some decorative paint work and repainting the home, in preparation of this 5000 sqf pad to hit the market. Yes 7 million, imagine what it would go for in a good economy!

Taking a aqua bus certainly beats traffic congestion and is rather relaxing I might add.
The funny thing, we have never been able to see the view since the whether in Vancouver for the past week plus has been foggy! But, today behold... there is a view 30 stores and up, ....it's sunny on top!

I would love to show pictures of the interior especially since it is a full 360 degree view, for 7 million you get the whole floor, your neighbour is mother nature, ocean/sky/mountains and copious amounts of fresh air. But, out of respect for the client, you have to settle for the pictures of the view since that's really what you would be buying.

If your ever in Vancouver, visit Ganville Island and the Market it's a great spot with shopping, arts and fine arts, great market food/restaurants plus entertainment. Much like Pike Place Market in Seattle.

I was looking around the web today for info on Tilano, since I am currently updating my new website for Distinct Interiors, my interior decorating business (nice plug, eh) and what did I find? I found a nice little piece on photo transfers using the Tilano Image Process, how cool is that!

Check it out, the article was posted on the CityLine TV website, written by Meriel Bradley, titled 'Save cherished family memories with these gift boxes and tiles.'

Transfers on to plates?

Well I hope you are in the swing of things as another year of new beginnings is upon us.
This time year is always a busy one here in the world of Tilano. It's Trade Show time, here is where we are and going to be.

• Atlanta Jan 6 to the 14th – Southeast Marketing
  
• Dallas  Jan 14 to 20th– Bartke and Associtates
• LA Jan 13 to 19th – CMA or California Marketing Associates
• NY 25 to 29th – American Trading 

Here is what our booth has looked like at the shows, we use tons of Confetti White Chalk Paint to create our back ground walls...
 
Even Martha shops the Gift Shows, very exciting she brings such a crowd with her!
We have a variety of booths at the shows... here what we look like most of the time 10' x 10' or 10' x 20'. Set up is always a crazy experience, so much planning and anxiety... but once you are set up it is time to sell! That's the fun party meeting retailers from all over the country.
